Baby Metal Heads Are ...All the Rage

There are few things stranger to see than a baby enjoying to some heavy metal, but that combo has created a few trending hits this year (see: How to Calm a Baby) as well as in the past.

The video below -- which was featured on Trends Wednesday morning -- has picked up over 400,000 views and is one of our top Most Shared videos in the United States. Considering the fact that similar videos of little kids rocking out have drawn big audiences in the past, it's not surprising to see this one take off. Below we pulled together some of the all-time top trending videos of this very amusing phenomenon.

How the Non-Cat Cat Video Went Big

Believe it or not, the most viewed cat video of the past month on YouTube doesn't contain any actual cats.

"Debbie" posted the video June 3rd, since then it's consistently been among our Most Shared videos and entered the top 15 most-viewed of the month. It inspired numerous parodies, a number of which you can view here. You can see in the chart below that at its peak earlier in June, "eHarmony Video Bio" drew 2 million views in one day.

While you may have been initially unsure of how serious she's is, "Debbie" is actually a young woman named Cara Hartmann, who describes herself as an entertainer.

As we know, these types of videos have done well before. Chris Crocker's "Leave Britney Alone" has been seen close to 40 million times. Hartmann's video was first picked up by pop culture sites like The Daily Wh.at and Someecards on June 9 and quickly spread to broader sites on the 10th when it also became very popular on Facebook.

The video is still averaging close to 100,000 views per day.

What They're Watching: Straw Dogs Official Trailer

This post was authored by Michelle Castillo as a part of a YouTube Trends series exploring the videos being watched this week by the team at What's Trending.

If you’re anything like me, you love getting a cheap thrill by watching scary movies and clips online. One of this week’s most popular viral videos, the trailer for the remake of Straw Dogs, is just that: a terrifying thriller that will make you never want to be home alone again. Well, at least in the south.

Here are some other clips that have rattled our bones in the past. Just because it’s not Halloween doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy a little fright.

This spoof trailer for Clown (supposedly by Eli Roth) was so successful at scaring people that it actually got Eli Roth’s attention. The Hostel director got in touch with the creators, and he will be co-financing their vision.

This isn’t as much terrifying as it is creepy and weird – and a brilliant bit of directing by Chris Cunningham.

Chat probably doesn’t want to go to Roswell, New Mexico for vacation.

Now this one won’t terrify you, but it will show you someone who gets the @#*$)(# scared out of them by someone blowing their nose.
